Based on a study by Houghton and Hackler, who estimated land use
changes from 1850 – 2000, about 14% of the carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere can be attributed to fossil-fuel combustion by human beings.

It is necessary for human beings to offset their carbon output. Carbon
offsetting is the act of reducing ("offsetting") greenhouse gas emissions
through carbon sequestration. A well-known example is the planting of trees
to compensate for the greenhouse gas emissions from personal air travel.

Carbon Caring will plant 3 trees for each ton of carbon offset purchased.
We work with tree planting operations in Africa, India and North America.
